Add vegan canadian bacon, optional 1 serving = 1 cup

Recipe Ingredients for Vegan split pea soup

2 1/2 cups dried split peas
8 cups vegetable broth
1 onion
2 carrots
3 stalks celery
4 cloves garlic
1 potato

Recipe Directions for Vegan split pea soup

  1. Put all ingredients into a slow cooker/crock pot and just leave on medium heat with the lid on for at least 12 hours. Soup is ready when it resembles thick green sludge. You can add a bit of cornstarch if you want it thicker.

  2. Add veggie canadian bacon (Yves) if desired and heat before serving.
