Home-made vegan protein dough. Many vegetarians try to make fake meats; I'm actually against "meat replacement" foods. I like to think of this as a completely new kind of food altogether. Try it and see what you think :)

Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Protein ("Meat") Dough

4 slices Mori-nu, Tofu, Silken, Firm
1 cup Original Almond Breeze Unsweetened
1 2/5 grams Malt Salt
136.08 g Soy Protein Isolate
68.04 g Gluten Flour
2 tablespoons Canola Oil

Recipe Directions for Vegan Protein ("Meat") Dough

  1. Blend Together, first using your blender's "Chop" mode, then blend on medium, then high speeds, about 2 minutes: 1 Block Mori-Nu Firm Tofu, 1 Cup Unsweetened Original Almond Breeze Almond Milk, 1/4 tsp. Salt, 1/2 tsp. J&D's Bacon Salt "Hickory" Flavor (it's the truly vegan one, their other one isn't; or you can use other seasonings as well).

  2. Mix in a mixing bowl, in order until each is blended in smoothly, before adding the next item: Entire blended mixture from above, 1 Cup Soy Protein Isolate

  3. 1/2 Cup Gluten Flour,

  4. Shape and cook, fry (in 2 Tablespoons oil), or bake (or boil) however you will.
