Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Cream Sauce

1 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp flour
1 cup soymilk

Recipe Directions for Vegan Cream Sauce

  1. Melt the margarine in a small pot.

  2. Add the flour to the margarine and combine well to make a roux.

  3. Cook the roux for a few minutes to get rid of the flour-y flavor.

  4. Add soymilk (or other milk substitute, or you could use soy cream!) slowly to avoid clumping.

  5. Cook until thickened. Add more flour or soymilk to achieve the desired consistency.
