A delicious and healthy alternative to the usually butter-laden concontions. And sweet enough not to need a cream cheese icing. You can also use brown sugar instead of honey.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Cinnamon Buns

1 1/2 c kamut flour
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp yeast
3 tbsp organic sugar
1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
1/4 c raisins
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Vegan Cinnamon Buns

  1. Place first 5 ingredients in bread maker

  2. Set to dough cycle - 1h20m

  3. Combine applesauce, honey, cinnamon and raisins - set aside

  4. Remove dough from maching, roll out into large rectangle

  5. Spread applesauce mixture over dough, and roll into a log-shape.

  6. Cut into 7-9 pieces and place circles in a well greased pan

  7. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes

  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  9. Bake for 35 minutes or until done.
