Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Chili

1/2 cup Beans, Black, Mature Seeds
1/2 cup Beans, Pinto, Mature Seeds
1/2 cup dry Navy Beans
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1/2 medium raw Bell Pepper Green
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Cumin
1 1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
1/2 tbsp Sage, Ground
1 tsp Oregano, Ground
4 tsp Franks RedHot Hot Sauce
1/2 cup dry Lentils
6 oz Tomato Paste
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper, Black
5 cups water

Recipe Directions for Vegan Chili

  1. Combine dried beans in a large bowl and soak over night.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and saute chopped vegetables until soft. Add spices and saute another minute, remove from heat.

  3. Put all ingredients into a slow cooker along with 5 cups boiling water. Mix until tomato paste is fully disolved.

  4. Cover slow cooker and set on low for 8 hours.
