Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Chili

3 1tsp Olive Oil
2 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Red
4 clove Garlic
4 tbsp Chili Powder
3 tsp Cumin Seed
1 tbsp Coriander Leaf, Dried
1 tsp Oregano, Ground
0.5 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
510 grams Beans, Kidney, Red, Mature Seeds, Canned
1 serving Lidl Passata
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Vegan Chili

  1. Heat the oil.

  2. Add chopped onions, bell pepper, garlic, and spices.

  3. and cook until the vegetables are softened and beginning to brown, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the water, beans, passata, and canned tomatoes. Cover, bring to a boil, then let simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add salt if needed.

  6. Serve with guacamole, fresh tomatoes, whole wheat tortillas, or brown rice & enjoy.
