Sometimes I can't get good cabbage leaves to make a roll so it I just chop them up and throw them in the skillet

Recipe Ingredients for Vegan Cabbage Rolls -Sometimes

8 oz Smart Ground (original)
10 leaf Cabbage
1/2 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
1/2 cup, chopped Onions
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 clove Garlic
1/4 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
1/2 cup Heart Smart Traditional Italian Sauce
3/4 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 tbsp, ground Basil, Dried
1/2 tbsp Vinegar red wine
1/2 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1/2 cup brown rice

Recipe Directions for Vegan Cabbage Rolls -Sometimes

  1. Boil cabbage leaves and set aside to cool

  2. Brown meat substitute and set aside

  3. Spray skillet with non stick spray and cook onion, bell pepper, garlic, 1 1/2 tablespoon of basil, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes for 5 minutes

  4. Stir in uncooked rice and meat substitute

  5. Spoon 1/3 cup of mixture into leaf rollup and put in skillet seam side down.

  6. Mix together pasta sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of basil, water, red wine vinegar and sugar

  7. Pour over cabbage, bring to boil, reduce and simmer for 30 months
