awesome totally vegan bean and grain burger. the amaranth is the glue that holds it all together. these are superb. try not to flatten too much when cooking to keep the "burger" shape. this is a recipe that is doubled from original to make 14 regular sized burgers.

Recipe Ingredients for vegan bean and grain burger best ever

2 cups garbanzo beans
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup carrot
1 cup onion
1/2 cup celery
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
4 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 cup sunflower seed
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup amaranth

Recipe Directions for vegan bean and grain burger best ever

  1. oven at 350

  2. canned lentils are fine

  3. cook amaranth according to instructions

  4. toast sunflower seeds and grind

  5. saute carrots, onions, celery and celery seed in olive oil in caste iron pan

  6. grind to a coaser texture all additions including oatmeal

  7. mash all in bowl

  8. form patties

  9. brown on each side

  10. texture and tase is heavenly
