Recipe Ingredients for Veg - Boerenkool stampot

900 gram kale (boerenkool)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1000 gram potatoes
30 grams butter
1/4 teaspoon pepper (to taste)

Recipe Directions for Veg - Boerenkool stampot

  1. Put salt and a bit of water in the bottom of the pan and bring to the boil. Add the borenkool, reduce temperature and cover with lid.

  2. Peel potatoes, wash well and halve the large ones.

  3. Lift the boerenkool and place the potatoes underneath it. Put the AH magere rookworst on top.

  4. Let the boerenkool and potatoes cook to done in circa 30 minutes. Remove worst and keep warm.

  5. Pour cooking liquid into container for use in a minute.

  6. Finely mash boerenkool and potatoes, adding in cooking liquid and butter.

  7. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with rookworst.
