Original Quaker Oats recipe, no sugar, sub applesauce, add choc chips

Recipe Ingredients for Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 c butter
6 T butter
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 t baking soda
1/2 c apple sauce
1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t salt
3 c oats

Recipe Directions for Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies

Heat 350. beat butter, sugars. add eggs and vanilla; beat well. add flour baking soda, cinnamon and salt. add oats and choc chips. bake 8-10 minutes. cool on wire racks.
