Another raw, tasty granola drowned in HEALTH! :D

Recipe Ingredients for Vanilla-Pear gRAWnola

2 cups Oat Groats
2 cups Hard Red Wheat Berries Organic
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup raw walnuts
1/2 cup raw almonds
5/8 cup Agave Nectar
2 pears, diced
2 tbsp vanilla extract
1 banana
3 tbsp raw almond butter

Recipe Directions for Vanilla-Pear gRAWnola

  1. Soak your oat groats and wheatberries for 24 or more hours.

  2. Drain the grains, then place them in a large bowl.

  3. Chop the almonds, cashews, and walnuts, then add them and the sunflower seeds to the bowl.

  4. Dice the pears into small squares and transfer them to the bowl.

  5. In a small food processor or blender (or by hand) blend the banana, vanilla, and the 3 tbsp of almond butter; add cinnamon, if desired.

  6. Pour the banana-vanilla-almond butter mixture over the ingredients in the bowl, and mix until well coated.

  7. Pour the raw agave nectar over the ingredients as well and mix until all are well coated.

  8. At this point, I added cinnamon; this is optional! I liked it, though.

  9. Place a thin coat of wet granola onto solid (not mesh!!!) dehydrator trays (mine covered 3 and 1/2 circular ones) and dehydrate at 105 degrees over night, approximately 8-10 hours.

  10. Once dried, break into chunks/slabs and enjoy!

  11. Store the gRAWnola in metal or glass airtight containers, such as a cookie jar. It does not keep well in plastic Tupperware.
