Recipe Ingredients for Unfried Rice

1 cup onion, chopped
2 tsp canola oil
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup white wine (Marsala cooking wine)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp hot sauce, (Tobasco)
1 cup brown rice, (Uncle Ben's quick)
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 tbsp green onions, chopped

Recipe Directions for Unfried Rice

  1. Saute the onion in the oil until it starts to brown.

  2. Add the liquids and bring to a boil.

  3. Stir in the rice, cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes, or until done.

  4. Stir in the almonds and green onions.
