This would be much better with more dried fruit and less chips.

Recipe Ingredients for Unfinished Trail Mix

115 g dried cherries
86 g. walnuts
90 g. almonds
90 g. pecans
88 g. chocolate chips
88 g. white chocolate chips
176 g. peanut butter chips
4 c. old-fashioned oatmeal
1/2 c. honey
2 T. butter, melted
1/2 c. canola oil
1 T. flax seed, ground
35 g. prunes, chopped

Recipe Directions for Unfinished Trail Mix

  1. Combine oatmeal, honey, butter, oil and flax; mix well.

  2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Lightly coat baking sheet with nonstick spray (or line with foil then spray.)

  3. Spread oatmeal mixture into pan.

  4. Bake for 40- 45 min stirring every 10 min.

  5. Add chopped prunes last 5 min.

  6. Allow to cool completely; break apart and add to other ingredients.

  7. 1 serving = 1/2 cup
