Recipe Ingredients for Ultimate Burger

1 egg
1 lb lean ground beef
1 c oats
1 c diced onion
1 c chopped spinach
2 tbsp shredded cheese
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
1 Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Ultimate Burger

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg. Add everything else and mix -- your hands are the best tool -- until well blended.

  2. Form the meat into four patties.

  3. Place the  burgers on a grill pan or nonstick skillet that?s heated over medium high.

  4. Cook for 6 minutes per side or to the desired level of doneness.

  5. (Wrap any extra  burgers in plastic and freeze them for later.)
