Recipe Ingredients for Tzatziki Sauce

3 cups yogurt, low fat plain
2 cucumbers, diced
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 tablespoon dill

Recipe Directions for Tzatziki Sauce

  1. Drain yogurt 2 hours or until it is at desired thickness.

  2. Put diced cucumbers in colander and sprinkle with salt. Let sit 30 minutes while salt draws out the water.

  3. Drain cucumbers and wipe dry with a paper towel.

  4. In food processor blend cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, dill and pepper.

  5. Stir well-blended mixture into yogurt.

  6. Put in refrigerator and let rest at least 2 hours before using.
