Homemade Tzatziki using low fat yoghurt, a little salt to taste and 1 cup or one whole grated cucumber.a

Recipe Ingredients for tzatziki homemade

1 cup (8 fl oz) Yogurt, Plain, Skim Milk, 13 Grams Protein Per 8 Ounce
1/2 cup slices Cucumber

Recipe Directions for tzatziki homemade

  1. Large pot of low fat plain yoghurt - empty the contents including a sprinkle of salt into a strainer and leave to release water for at least 2 hours.

  2. Grate up one cucumber or as many as you like, sprinkle with salt and leave for at least 20 minutes.

  3. Squeeze out cucumber juice and throw away.

  4. Empty juice from yoghurt and throw away.

  5. Mix both cucumber and yoghurt together in a bowl.

  6. Store in fridge for up to 3 days, use on bread, crackers or toast to replace butter.
