Recipe Ingredients for Ty's Kitchen Sink Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup applesauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups dry oats
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon wheat germ

Recipe Directions for Ty's Kitchen Sink Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Combine butter, shortening, applesauce, brown sugar, molasses, eggs, and vanilla.

  2. Mix in whole wheat flour.

  3. Combine baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a separate small bowl(can also add a pinch of ginger, cloves, mace, allspice, cardamom, and coriander for a spicier mix).

  4. Mix in ingredients above.

  5. Fold in dry oats, raisins, and chocolate chips.

  6. Bake 350 degrees for 10 to 12 min.

  7. Makes 24 large cookies
