Slow cooked, hearty bean soup without meat.

Recipe Ingredients for Two Bean Soup

8 oz Beans Navy Dry
8 oz Organics Red Kidney Beans Dry
5 serving Unsalted Chicken Broth
2 NLEA serving Carrots, Baby
2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
1 plum tomato Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
3 tsp Soup Base
0.5 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh
1 tsp Seasoning Blend
1 tsp Chili Powder

Recipe Directions for Two Bean Soup

  1. Rinse and sort 1 lb each of red beans and navy beans. Soak overnight.

  2. Discard soaking water, rinse beans and place in crock pot.

  3. Chop all vegetables coarsely. Place in crock pot with beans.

  4. Add unsalted chicken broth (approximately 5 cups), ham soup base, chili powder and Mrs Dash. Add 1 cup water.

  5. Cover and cook on high for 8-10 hours. Serve with crusty bread, a salad and some cheese. Makes 8 one cup servings.
