First made Betty Crocker 4/13/08 with Kate (used Cracked Pepper Blend bottle for molds-too wide) Now try this recipe :)

Recipe Ingredients for Twinkie Pound Cake

1 stick butter
8 oz. confectioners' sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
3 egg whites

Recipe Directions for Twinkie Pound Cake

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Alternate flour and baking powder with milk. Add vanilla and lemon. Beat well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a tube pan* at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

  2. *For twinkies, bake in spice-bottle molds sprayed with Pam (place upright in bread pan). Check after 15 minutes. Fill with frosting recipe below.

  3. (1-1/2 x recipe of Frosting for CopyKat twinkies but sub. confectioner's for granulated sugar, 1/4 c. shortening).
