Recipe Ingredients for TVP stuffed red peppers

1/4 cup TVP
3 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Red
2 oz Onion Red
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
0.5 tbsp Parsley
1.5 tbsp Black Olives
0.5 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked
7.5 oz Tomato Sauce
4 oz 2% Milk Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar

Recipe Directions for TVP stuffed red peppers

Cook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes. Saute onion and garlic in the canola oil and then add rice, parsley, TVP, olives and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Bake covered for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with cheese uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
