Textured Vegetable Protein Chili with Beans

Recipe Ingredients for TVP Chili

1 serving Sun Harvest Bulk Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
1 serving Carrots
8 serving HEB no salt added tomato sauce
15 1/2 oz Black Beans
15 1/2 oz White Kidney Cannellini Beans
87 grams Chopped Onions
127 grams Chopped Tomatoes
5 grams Garlic
5 grams Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tbsp Chili Powder
0.87 grams Coarse Kosher Salt
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water
9/20 grams Coarse Kosher Salt
57 grams Fage 0% Greek Yogurt

Recipe Directions for TVP Chili

  1. Saute chopped onions and garlic in oil.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, carrot sauce, 227 g water, and listed seasonings (plus add a few shakes of garlic powder and cumin).

  3. Simmer for 30 minutes, then mix in TVP and 1 cup water. Cook for ten minutes.

  4. Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of Fage 0% Greek yogurt, if desired.
