Recipe Ingredients for Tuscany Cuttlefish

18 ounces cuttlefish, diced
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup peanut oil
3 tablespoons butter
4 ounces onion, chopped
4 ounces canned mushrooms, sliced
1/2 ounces garlic, minced
5 ounces raw spinach
28 ounces tomatoes, canned, crushed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Recipe Directions for Tuscany Cuttlefish

  1. Coat cuttlefish with flour

  2. Heat oil over high heat

  3. Split fish into 3 batches and fry until lightly browned, do not over cook, set aside on paper towels

  4. Reduce heat to medium

  5. Drain only the oil from the pan, reserving anything left in the pan

  6. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes

  7. Add mushrooms and saute 2 minutes

  8. Add garlic and saute 1 minute

  9. Add spinach and saute until wilted

  10. Add butter and melt

  11. Add fish and toss to coat

  12. Add all remaining ingredients and cook until heated through
