My healthier version to Mashed Potatoes... if you decrease the serving size from 6 to 4 you add 44 calories, but the serving size is HUGE!!! (For the big eaters!)

Recipe Ingredients for Turnip/Potato Mash

4 medium Turnips
2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
1 serving Evaporated Milk Skim Fat Free
1 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter

Recipe Directions for Turnip/Potato Mash

  1. peel and cube potatoes & turnips and boil until fork tender

  2. add a small pat of butter & a splash of milk until the the turnip/potato mixture is the consistency you want for a mash

  3. salt & pepper to taste.

  4. (I also add garlic paste sometimes)
