Savory home style biscuit topped pot pie

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Vegetable Cobbler

2 c diced cooked turkey
1 c sliced carrots
1/2 c chopped onion
7 1/2 oz 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c Swanson Broth
1/2 c 2% milk
1 garlic clove
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/4 cups reduced fat Bisquick
1/2 c 2% milk
1 egg white

Recipe Directions for Turkey Vegetable Cobbler

  1. Preheat oven to 400

  2. Cut turkey into 1/2 inch cubes

  3. Cut carrots into 1/4 inch slices

  4. Chop onion

  5. Cut broccoli into small chunks

  6. Combine carrots, onion, and broccoli in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high 2-3 min or until crisp-tender then drain

  7. Meanwhile combine soup, broth, milk, garlic grated, thyme and black pepper; whisk until blended.

  8. Stir in turkey and vegetable mixture; mix well

  9. Pour into baking dish

  10. For biscuit topping in a small bowl combine baking mix, milk and egg white; stir until dry ingredients are moistened and mixture forms a soft dough.

  11. Use a medium size scoop and drop six scoops of dough over filling.

  12. Bake 30-35 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
