Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Tomato Sauce

14 1/2 oz Stewed Tomatoes No Salt Added
14 1/2 oz Stewed Tomatoes No Salt Added
4 tbsp chopped Onions
2 serving Turkey Burger Patties
1 glass (3.5 fl oz) Wine, Table, White
1 clove Garlic
1/4 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh
1 1tsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Turkey Tomato Sauce

  1. heat olive oil in skillet, add chopped onions and cook for 2-3 minutes, until onions are soft.

  2. add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes more.

  3. add turkey and cook, breaking up meat with spoon, until meat is no longer pink and juice evaporates.

  4. add white wine and one can of tomatoes to skillet.

  5. puree second can of tomatoes in blender, then add to skillet.

  6. cook uncovered on medium-high heat 10-15 minutes until sauce is reduced and very thick.

  7. turn heat to low, add shredded basil leaves.

  8. cook for 1-2 minutes and serve over pasta.
