Traditional turkey tetrazzini using whole wheat egg noodles.

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Tetrazinni

12 oz Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Extra Wide Noodles
20 oz Extra Lean Boneless Turkey Breast Tenderloins
16 oz Half and Half
16 oz Chicken 33% Less Sodium Broth Rtsb
1 cup Shredded Cheese
4 oz Le Gruyere Gruyere Cheese
8 oz Mushrooms
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 1/2 cup Peas, Green
10 tbsp Butter
1/3 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
3 tsp Minced Garlic
0.33 tablespoon Thyme
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for Turkey Tetrazinni

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, Drain and set aside.

  2. Cut turkey into bite size pieces, salt and pepper turkey, and brown in a frying pan using a small amount of canola oil. Drain.

  3. To the turkey pan add 2 tablespoon of butter and the chopped onion, saute until starting to soften. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are softened.

  4. In a large pan add 4 tablespoons of butter and the flour cook for 3 minutes. Add the half & half and the chicken broth, thyme, and half the black pepper. Add salt to taste.. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until thickened. Add the pes to the mixture, cook until peas are warmed through. Remove from heat. Now add the turkey, mushroom mixture, Gruyere, and 1/4 cup of parmesan, and the noodles. Stir to combine.

  5. Put mixture in a large greased casserole.

  6. Melt 4 tbsp of butter in microwave. Combine remaining Parmesan, panko, and melted butter.

  7. Top casserole with panko cheese mixure.

  8. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly in the middle.

  9. Serve.
