Green Bell Peppers, stuffed with ground turkey

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Stuffed Peppers

20 oz Fresh Ground Turkey
8 small Peppers, Sweet, Green
0.75 cup Bread Crumbs
1 large Egg, Whole
0.75 cup chopped raw Vidalia Onion
1 tsp Allspice, Ground
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 tbsp Milk, Fluid, 3.25% Milkfat
2 cup Tomato

Recipe Directions for Turkey Stuffed Peppers

  1. Cut both ends off the bell peppers to make thick rings, approximately 3"

  2. Saute onions with salt, pepper, and allspice until just soft

  3. Add onions (garlic, too- optional) to the ground turkey, along with the bread crumbs, egg, and milk. Mix well.

  4. Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Place the peppers on top, fitting snugly.

  5. Fill each pepper ring with the meat mixture

  6. Pour the rest of the sauce on top

  7. Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes, or until cooked through.
