Fantastic and meaty! Not the greatest fat but the portion size is almost too much it's so filling!

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Shepherd's Pie

5 medium potatoes
1/3 cup 1% milk
2 tbsp sour cream
2 lb ground turkey
1 cup gravy, fat free
1 cup frozen corn

Recipe Directions for Turkey Shepherd's Pie

  1. Boil potatoes (with garlic cloves if you like that much garlic) and then mash the potatoes. Add the milk half at a time and stir until consistent (I add garlic powder at this point but I love garlic)

  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  3. Brown the turkey in a pan until the pink is gone (I add onion and garlic at this stage as well), add the frozen corn and toss. Add the gravy and simmer for about 5 minutes.

  4. OPTIONAL: Add hot pepper flakes if you like spicy food - I add about half a tablespoon or so.

  5. Put the meat mixture into a pan, sprinkle the cheese over the meat mixture and then spread the mashed potatoes over top, smoothing them as much as possible.

  6. Bake for about 5 to 10 minutes or until set.
