This is a stew my family has made for years and years. It's hearty and filling without breaking your belt. It originally called for kielbasa, but I find turkey is healthier and just as tasty!

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Polish Stew

3/4 cup frozen corn
3/4 cup frozen peas
3/4 cup frozen green beans
3/4 cup frozen carrots
3 large potatoes
2 cups canned stewed tomatoes
2 tsp mustard
1/2 lb Sausage, Turkey, Hot, Smoked
4 cups water

Recipe Directions for Turkey Polish Stew

  1. Slice the sausage up into about 1/4" slices. Chop the potatoes in medium size chunks. Then throw everything in a pot, cover, and let stew for an hour or two until the potatoes are soft. Easy cheesy!

  2. A few tips: Buy 2 12oz bags of frozen mixed veggies instead individual ones. Buy no salt added, no sugar added tomatoes and don't drain them. 4 cups of water is an approximation. Basically you just want the water to come about an inch over the ingredients. You may also have to add more during cooking, so check every 30 mins or so.
