Ground turkey and potatoes...and veggies of course!

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Picadillo

10 oz ground turkey, lean
3 medium russet potatoes
3/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
3/4 cup carrots, shredded
1/2 white onion, sliced
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
5 oz el pato tomato sauce
1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
2 tbsp blue bonnet regular stick

Recipe Directions for Turkey Picadillo

  1. dice peeled potatoes and toss with evoo in skillet until tender, cover to soften 'em up. remove from skillet, set aside.

  2. sautee all diced veggies in 2 tbsp melted butter, remove and set aside with the potatoes

  3. brown the ground meat (salt and pepper to taste) and add potatoes and veggies to skillet.

  4. pour can of el pato, lower heat, and cover for 15 minutes, stirring occassionally.
