a meat sauce for pasta made with turkey instead of beef (add a beef stock cube to make it more meaty)

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey pasta sauce

1 lb ground turkey
1 onion, large
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp tomato puree
3 tomatoes, crushed, canned

Recipe Directions for Turkey pasta sauce

  1. Brown the turkey

  2. add the onion and garlic, sautee until transluscent

  3. add the combined spices and beef stock, stir well for 1 minute

  4. add the puree, stir well

  5. add the tomatoes

  6. let it simmer over a medium to low heat until it reaches your desired consistency.
