Burgers made with ground turkey, mushrooms, and steak sauce. I bake them in the oven, but they can be grilled or broiled if you prefer.

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Mushroom Cheeseburgers (with bun)

16 oz Jennie O Extra Lean Ground Turkey
1/8 cup Egg Beaters
8 Large Mushrooms, finely chopped
1 cup Onion, finely chopped
1 cup Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella cheese
3 servings A1 Steak Sauce (about 3 tbsp)
2 tsp ground black pepper
4 servings Whole Wheat Hamburger buns (about 150 calories each)

Recipe Directions for Turkey Mushroom Cheeseburgers (with bun)

  1. Preheat oven to 350d

  2. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil to catch drippings (though there isn't much if you use Extra Lean turkey)

  3. Place a wire rack on the sheet and spray with non-stick cooking spray

  4. In mixing bowl, combine turkey, egg beaters, black pepper, mushrooms, onions, shredded cheese, steak sauce.

  5. Knead thouroughly

  6. Form 4 patties

  7. Place on wire rack and bake in oven for 15 minutes.

  8. Turn over and bake another 15 minutes.

  9. Serve on wheat bun
