Based on Alton Browns Good Eats meatloaf

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Meatloaf

6 oz bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
6 oz of onion
4 oz carrot
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 bell pepper
36 oz of ground turkey
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Turkey Meatloaf

  1. combine the crutons, black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and thyme. Pulse this mixture into a fine texture. Pour the resulting mixture into a seperate bowl. Then combine the onion, carrot, garlic, and bell pepper in the food processor bowl. Pulse this into a finely chopped, but not pureed, mixture. Combine the vegetable mixture and ground turkey with the bread crumb mixture. Season the meat mixture with the salt, then add the egg and combine thoroughly.

  2. Pack this mixture into a 10-inch loaf pan to mold the shape of the meatloaf. Turn the meatloaf out of the pan onto the center of a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Place the meatloaf into a 325 degree F oven. using a temperature probe, cook the meatloaf until the meatloafs internal temperature reaches 155 degrees.
