Whole wheat spaghetti and turkey meatballs

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Meatballs

1 lb lean ground turkey
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp dried basil
4 tbsp onion, chopped
2 tbsp garlic, chopped
2 egg whites
1/2 cup skim milk
3 cups marinara sauce
1/2 lb spaghetti, whole wheat

Recipe Directions for Turkey Meatballs

  1. Knead ground turkey, egg whites and milk until well mixed

  2. Add bread crumbs, pepper, basil, onion and garlic and mix thoroughly

  3. Shape mix into 1.5 inch balls

  4. Cook at 350 degrees F for 25 min

  5. Cook 1/2 lb of spaghetti as directed and mix with marinara sauce

  6. Serve 1/2 cup of whole wheat spaghetti and 2 meatballs
