Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Meatball Pita's

16 oz Ground Turkey
2 slice Bread, Whole-wheat, Commercially Prepared
2 tbsp chopped Onions
1 large Egg, White
1 serving Ground Cumin
5 pita, large (6-1/2" dia) Bread, Pita, Whole-wheat
0.5 large (8-1/4" long) Cucumber, Peeled
8 oz Fat Free Yogurt Plain
2 serving, raw Cilantro
4 cups Romaine Lettuce

Recipe Directions for Turkey Meatball Pita's

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees, spray caked pan with non-stick spray.

  2. In large bowl combine by hand ground turkey, bread, onion, egg white, cumin(1 1/2 tsp), 3 Tbs water and salt.

  3. Shaped mixture into 25 meatballs (for easier handling use wet hands) bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

  4. Mix cucumber, yogurt, cilantro and salt in blender for sauce. Heat pitas while meatballs cook.

  5. To serve, cut pita's in half, fill pita with shredded lettuce, meatballs, and top with sauce.
