Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Mango Picadillo

1 lb uncooked ground turkey breast
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 cup scallions, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup chunky salsa, thick & chunky style
1 mango, cubed
2 cups cooked brown rice, kept hot

Recipe Directions for Turkey Mango Picadillo

  1. . Cook turkey in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.

  2. . Drain off any fat.

  3. . Add oil to skillet and heat until sizzling.

  4. . Stir in scallions, garlic, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, oregano and thyme.

  5. . Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.

  6. . Gently stir in salsa and mango.

  7. . Cover and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes more.

  8. Serve over brown rice.
