Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Lasagna

1 lb ground lean turkey
16 oz canned tomatoes
6 oz tomato paste
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp basil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup red wine
3 cups ricotta, low fat
2 eggs
2 tbsp parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
8 oz whole wheat lasagna noodles
1/2 cup shredded mozarella
1/2 cup bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Turkey Lasagna

  1. chop garlic

  2. saute turkey until done

  3. add garlic, tomatoes and tomato sauce

  4. saute until heated through

  5. add wine, salt, pepper, basil and simmer, adding water as needed

  6. mix ricotta, eggs, parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl

  7. layer lasagna noodles with layer of meat, then layer of cheese

  8. mix bread crumbs with mozarella and add to top of lasagna

  9. bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until browned and bubbly

  10. let stand for 15 minutes before cutting
