Turkey Lasagna Recipe

Ground turkey and whole wheat lasagna. It actually tastes good!

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Lasagna

8 oz pasta, whole wheat
1 lb ground turkey
24 oz tomato sauce
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
1 tsp rosemary
1/4 cup Splenda
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup cottage cheese, lowfat
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 oz cream cheese, fat free
2 large eggs

Recipe Directions for Turkey Lasagna

  1. Heat oven 350 degrees.

  2. Cook lasagna noodles until el dente.

  3. In a large saucepan, brown ground turkey, onion and garlic powder and salt. Drain. Add tomato sauce, parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary and Splenda. Heat over medium heat until sauce slightly thickens.

  4. In a large bowl, mix together cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese and eggs.

  5. Cover bottom of 9x13 pan with 1/2 cup sauce. Place four lasagna noodles in pan. Spread half of cheese mixture evenly over noodles. Pour about 1 cup sauce over cheese and spread evenly. Top with four noodles and repeat steps with cheese and sauce. Top with four noodles and spread remaining sauce over top layer. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top.

  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
