Rich and satisfying Texas style chili to serve alone or with rice

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey and Kidney Bean Chili

1 cup beef stock
1 cup onions, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
14 ounces canned tomatoes
8 ounces tomato sauce
21 ounces ground turkey breast
1 cup kidney beans (3 cups cooked or canned)
1 1/4 ounces Chili Seasoning (I use McCormicks packets)
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/3 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Turkey and Kidney Bean Chili

  1. brown ground turkey in olive oik

  2. add onion and garlic

  3. aid chili seasoning, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil

  4. add tomatoes and tomato sauce

  5. add beef stock

  6. rinse and drain kidney canned beans (if using dry beans boil until tender in water before adding to chili)

  7. add kidney beans

  8. simmer for one hour

  9. serve over brown rice

  10. serve with a green salad

  11. for a special serve with hot corn bread
