Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Gyros

1/2 small onion
2 tbsp chopped fresh italian parsley
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper, coarsely ground
2 tsp olive oil
4 pitas
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/8 tsp salt
2 tbsp chopped fresh italian parsley
1/4 cup fresh cucumber
2 oz. feta
1 roma tomato
1 cucumber

Recipe Directions for Turkey Gyros

  1. Mix turkey, onion, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper, form 4 loaves

  2. Add oil to skillet, cook turkey mixture loaves 1-2 minutes on each side

  3. Transfer skillet to 500 degree oven, cook 6-8 minutes

  4. Prepare sauce by mixing yogurt, garlic, salt, parsley and cucumber

  5. Slice cucumber and tomato and turkey loaves into 1/8-1/4" slices

  6. Serve turkey and veggies in pitas, top with crumbled feta and yogurt sauce
