Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Chili

1 lb ground turkey
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
30 oz kidney beans, rinsed & drained
16 oz diced tomatoes
20 oz chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne
1/8 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Turkey Chili

  1. Brown the turkey in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove it with a slotted spoon and set it aside, leaving some of the fat in the skillet.

  2. Saute the onion and garlic in the fat until soft (about 6 minutes).

  3. In a large stockpot, combine the browned turkey, sauteed onion and garlic, beans, tomatoes, broth and spices.

  4. Simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
