Turkey Chili Recipe

Chili made with lean ground turkey breast instead of beef.

Recipe Ingredients for turkey chili

1 lb fresh ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, diced
2 tbsp garlic, minced
1 large green pepper, diced
2 stalks celery
3 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
28 ounce canned tomatoes
15 ounce dark red kidney beans
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for turkey chili

  1. Heat pot to medium and spray with cooking spray. Add garlic and let cook for about 1 minute. Add onions, pepper, celery, half of salt, and saute for 3 minutes. Add ground turkey with the remaining salt and brown. Add chili powder, canned tomatoes, sugar, and simmer for 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Add beans and simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Serve over brown rice.
