IN THIS RECIPE YOU CAN REPLACE ANY OF THE MEAT TO YOUR CHOICE. I USED LEAN SWEET ITALIAN TURKEY LINKS, THEN SLICED AFTER COOKED. IT CAME OUT OH SO GOOD!

Recipe Ingredients for TURKEY CHILI

1 lb. GROUND TURKEY
1 large BELL PEPPER, DICED
1 large SWEET ONION, DICED
1/2 cup MUSHROOMS, SLICED
12 oz STEWED TOMATOES
8 oz STEWED TOMATOES
12 oz COOKED KIDNEY BEANS
2 tbsp OLIVE OIL

Recipe Directions for TURKEY CHILI

  1. IN A SKILLET, POUR OLIVE OIL, AND HEAT.

  2. ADD ONION, BELL PEPPER AND MUSHROOMS, AND SIMMER WITH MEDIUM HEAT, UNTIL 3/4 COOKED THROUGHOUT.

  3. MEANWHILE IN A SEPARATE COOKING PAN 3-5 QUARTS, POUR YOUR TOMATOES AND KIDNEY BEANS AND HEAT UNTIL BOIL.

  4. BOIL 5 MINUTES, THEN REDUCE HEAT HALF WAY.

  5. COVER

  6. IN STILLET ADD GROUND TURKEY AND COOK UNTIL NO LONGER PINK.

  7. CAREFULLY ADD GROUND TURKEY AND CONTENTS OF SKILLET INTO THE COOKING PAN.

  8. CONTINUE TO COOK ON LOW - MED HEAT, STIR OFTEN, OBSERVE FOR BURNING, DO NOT LET BURN.
