Tasty healthy chili for a cold night!

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Chili

1 lb lean ground turkey
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 medium white onion
2 tbs chili powder
1 garlic clove
28 oz diced tomatoes
8 oz tomato paste
1 tbs dried basil
1 tbs dried oregano
1 tbs salt
1 tbs black pepper
12 oz kidney beans

Recipe Directions for Turkey Chili

  1. Dice onion and peppers

  2. Brown turkey together with onions, peppers, 1 tbs chili powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper

  3. Drain excess fat

  4. Add can of diced tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, remainder of spices and bring to boil

  5. Reduce heat to simmer

  6. Drain and rinse kidney beans and add to chili

  7. Continue to season to taste
