Southern Living Turkey Chile receipe

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Chile

1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 3/10 pound ground turkey breast
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
3 tablespoons tomato paste
28 oz diced tomatoes
16 oz red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup light beer
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe Directions for Turkey Chile

  1. Saute chopped onion in hot oil in a large pot over medium - high heat for 5 minutes until tender.

  2. Add garlic, and saute 1 minute.

  3. Add turkey, chile powder and cumin and cook, stirrin goften , 8 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.

  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook 2 minutes.

  5. Add tomatoes and next 5 ingredients.

  6. Bring mixture to a boil;cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minitues.
