I lighter lower sodium version of a beef stroganoff.

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey / Chicken Stroganoff (hollan)

1.5 serving Perdue Perfect Portions Chicken Breast
0.75 serving Free Range Low Sodium Chicken Broth (Imagine)
2 stalk, small (5" long) Celery
2 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms
2 tbsp chopped Shallots
0.25 tablespoon Thyme
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
2 serving Greek Gods Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
0.5 serving Healthy Harvest Whole Grain Egg Noodles (Ronzoni)
8 grams Gold Medal All Purpose Flour

Recipe Directions for Turkey / Chicken Stroganoff (hollan)

  1. slice the mushrooms and celery.

  2. dice the shallot.

  3. Add to skillet and sautee until mushrooms and shallots are tender.

  4. Place Mushrooms, shallots, celery in a slow cooker on low and add broth, tyme and pepper.

  5. Cut Turkey or Chicken in to bite size pieces and add to slow cooker.

  6. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.

  7. Combine sour cream and FLour in small bowl and spoon in 2 tbls of the broth, stir well. Stir in sour cream mixture to the slow cooker cover and cook for 10 min.

  8. in a separate bot boil the noodles until tender.

  9. Spoon mixture over noodles in a bowl and enjoy.
