Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Cabbage Casserole

1 lb ground turkey
1 lb turkey kielbasa, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 head cabbage, chopped
14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes
14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
1/2 cup rice

Recipe Directions for Turkey Cabbage Casserole

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, combine ground turkey, chopped kielbasa (or smoked turkey sausage), onion, celery,and garlic.

  2. Cook until ground turkey is browned, no need to drain.

  3. Stir in chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, chicken broth and white rice.

  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, cajun seasoning, however you like your casserole.

  5. Bring to a boil.

  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 40-60 minutes, check rice before serving.
