Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Burgers

1 lb ground turkey
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tbsp Italian breadcrumbs
2 scallions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
6 hamburger rolls
2 plum tomatoes, sliced
6 tbsp mayonnaise
4 slices red onion
6 slices american cheese

Recipe Directions for Turkey Burgers

Mix together the turkey, spices, chopped garlic and chopped scallion. Stir in barbecue sauce and breadcrumbs. Form into six patties. Lightly spray a hot grill or grill pan with cooking spray. Cook burgers 4 minutes each side, turning once. Place slices of cheese on all burgers. Top with grilled onions and tomatoes. Spread one side of the hamburger bun with mayonnaise. Serve burgers on buns.
