Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Burgers - Asian Style

1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup cabbage or 1/4 head small cabbage, napa, shredded
4 scallions, finely chopped
1 large egg white, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons mint
2 tablespoons soy sauce, light
1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt, kosher
1/4 teaspoon, pepper, freshly ground
1 tablespoon oil, cooking

Recipe Directions for Turkey Burgers - Asian Style

  1. Mix together turkey, pepper, cabbage, scallions, egg white, mint (or cilantro or basil), soy sauce, ginger olive oil (or sesame oil for Asian flavor), salt and pepper.

  2. Shape into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. Heat cooking oil in skillet over high heat until hot.

  4. Re3kduce heat to medium; add burgers and cook 5 minutes on each side or untiol cooked through.

  5. Can make topping of wasabi mixed with mayonnaise and some soy sauce and oil or use horseradish topping.
