Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Bolognese #1 Extra Lean

1 tbl olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
2 cloves garlic
1 1/4 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup nonfat milk
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
26 oz Classico Traditional Favorites Pasta Sauce Tomato and Basil

Recipe Directions for Turkey Bolognese #1 Extra Lean

Saute onion in 1/2 tbl olive oil. When softened, add celery, carrots and salt. Cover, reduce heat to low and allow vegetables to slowly soften; stir frequently. Add pepper and oregano, heat until fragrant. Return heat to medium, add remaining olive oil and saute the garlic about 30-45 seconds. Add ground turkey, breaking up with wooden spoon or spatula. When no longer pink, add milk and allow to simmer down. Add canned tomatos and tomato sauce, simmer 15-20 minutes until warmed through and flavors meld.
